C. Roger Israel Of Barker, NY husband of Mary Jane Aikin Israel entered into rest Thursday, January 24, 2013 in Hernando Pascoe Hospice, Dade City, FL. He was born in the Town of Somerset, the son of the late Otto and Frances Hood Israel. Granduate of Barker Central School class of 1945. He married Mary Jane Aikin November of 1952. Roger was born in the family farm house and has worked all his life on the family fruit farm in Barker, NY. He retired in 2000. Member of Somerset Grange, Niagara County Promona Grange and the Cooperative Extension Services. Father of Allen (Linda) Israel of Barker, NY, Mary (Jim) Brock of Louisville, KY and Connie Israel of Raleigh, NC. Also survived by 7 grandchildren. Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY WEDNESDAY 2-4 & 7-8:30 PM where funeral services will be held at 8:30 PM.
